Finally! After years at the japanese store, "our" version finally came to the american PlayStation Store today. But yeah, us europeans have to wait another week until it gets to the EU store, same old priority for us. But of course, just make an american account and buy it, and take the game with you on your PSP! Now i wont get bored on the bus at least!

Back in 2005, this beautiful game was published by Team Ico. I feel bad for missing this epicness, and almost ashamed, as i didnt get to play until now. And if you've missed it, then you need to play it. Now!
But ok, lets take a look at this game, and what makes it so good. Most people look at metacritics and such to determine wether a game is good or not, which i personaly aint a big fan of - many games with "bad rating" can actually be very good, if it suits you. But really, this doesnt matter in this case, as this game got a pretty good reception from the biggest reviewers around.
But i must say, it really is a love it or hate it game. Its a very, uhm, special game, unique in its way. The whole atmoshpere of the game is extraordinary, so filled with mystery. Its quite a big world, but there's no towns or cities, no people, and almost no animals. Its simply empty. There's also close to no dialogue, and a somewhat unclear story. Ok, ok, so far it seems like an utterly boring game, with no features what so ever. But really, there is something with this game that has blown people away, and will still do in the future.
You play as Wander (or Wanda as he's called), in this world, where you have to defeat huge (and i mean, really, really huge) colossus', giants you might say, to save someone special. And thats one of the many beauties of this game - there's only bossfights throughout the game. On this interesting, though short adventure, Wander rides around on his faithful horse Agro, which plays a vital role in many of the encounters. These fights are truly epic, and is one of the best feelings i've had with a game, ever. The best moment must be when you really dont know whats coming, and you meet the first colossi to defeat. Its like standing next to the Empire State Building in New York, thinking; "How the hell am i suppose to defeat that?!".
But this game is not all about these mindblowing fights. Apart from the extraordinary graphics for its time (Which is literally mindblowing), this game is a true example on where Games meet Art. Not just in the graphical aspect, but the whole game in itself. Its letting you interpret the game how you want to. Nothing is really clear, but at the same time you get whats going on. You may spend hours in the open landscape, imagining why its empty, how it got empty, and how it would have been if it wasnt'. Why are the colossi here all by them selves? Are they evil? Good? Even the story itself can be interpreted as you want. Its truly a piece of art.
The game may leave you with alot of unanswered questions and reactions. But thats what art is all about - creating a reaction for individuals. This is by far one of the greatest games i've ever played, and i look forward to Team Ico's next game coming soon - The Last Guardian. Now i just need to do some more diggin back in time, as i'm playing "Ico", the first game from Team Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus' prequel.

At Sony's E3 press confrence, the creators of Shadow Of The Colossus show us that there's nothing like the relationship between a young a boy and his giant cat-chicken-dragon in this awesome trailer for The Last Guardian. I just cant wait!

Recently me and a friend started working on a little 2D game and we're still pretty much at the concept phase/pre-alpha stage. It's gonna be a pretty much "straight-forward 2D Platformer", but some unique aspects will be seen, and some beautiful design! Cant say much at the moment, but check out this link if you wanna follow the project, or even participate!

Sony just finished their E3 presser, which clocked in at over 2 hours long.
Uncharted 2
The first game we got a look at was Uncharted 2. The live demo was great, featuring incredible graphics, big firefights and interesting instanced events, including a building collapsing while Drake is still in it. Reaffirmed the fall release date.
MAG
Next up was MAG. We were told the battle we were being shown features 256 live players, from across Sony and Zipper's various locales. Graphics are middle of the road, but some of the features are interesting. Teams are divided into 8 person squads and larger platoons. Squad and platoon leaders can issue orders, which you get XP for following. We saw a flight of helicopters called in, as well as an airstrike and a UAV, all of which are player controlled. Set for release this fall on the PS3.
PSP(GO)
A lot on the PSP, including a lavender Hannah Montana PSP, and the new UMD-less PSP Go. The PSP will go on sale October 1 for $249. It will have 16 GB internal memory, and use a new type of mini Memory Sticks. Going forward all PSP games will be available for digital purchase. PSP Go won't replace PSP-3000, but sit alongside it.
Media Go
A new PS app called Media Go launches today, allows easier browsing and organizing of your digital library. They also announced the expansion of the Video Delivery Service to the PSP.
GT:PSP
Next we hear about Gran Turismo PSP, no footage was shown, but it will have 800 cars. October 1 release date.
MGS:Peacewalker
Next is the new Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker for the PSP. A 2010 release. Looks like classic Metal Gear gameplay, but with clones implying that there may be co-op play.
PSP Resident Evil
The PSP gets an unnamed new Resident Evil title next year.
Assassins Creed 2
A live demo of Assassin's Creed 2. Your character Ezio works with Leonardo DaVinci, who makes his gadgets. He has dual arm blades, and gets a flying machine/glider at one point. Gameplay is pretty much the same as AC1, but the whole thing looks very nice. Instead of just using a sword, you take weapons from enemies, for a total of 30. Plus you can unlock 6 more via the PSP Assassins's Creed. Releasing Q4 this year
Final Fantasy 13
A video trailer for Final Fantasy 13, which didn't show much new.
Final Fantasy 14
Final Fantasy 14 was announced as a PS3 exclusive, and as an online game. Whether that means MMO, co-op or what, we don't know. We do know that it's coming next year.
Sonys Motion Controllers
Next we moved onto Sony's motion control system. The system uses the PlayStation Eye, and a controller with a glowing ball on the end. The camera tracks the ball, and there are buttons and triggers on the controller itself. The demo showed the devs on screen (via the camera) with a number of cartoony items in their hands: bats, hammers, light whips, stop signs, etc. They were also manipulating items in a virtual sandbox, writing, painting, swinging a sword, and using a bow with the system. Everything looks fairly early in development, but PlayStation Motion won't be out until spring 2010, anyway.
Mod Nation Racers
A new PS3 exclusive title called Mod Nation Racers. It's a cartoony kart racer, but with absolutely tons of customization options. You can make your racer or vehicle look however you want it to. The game also has very robust and easy track creation tools. In under 5 minutes, the developer made a new track live on stage. Lot of possibilities here.
The Last Guardian
The new Team Ico game (formerly known as Trico) was unveiled for the PS3: the Last Guardian. Part of the trailer was in the leaked video, albeit with much better graphics here, but there was a lot of new footage too. The game centers around a boy and his...monster. I call it a Giant Rat Dragon, but he reminds me of Falkor from the Neverending Story. The boy rides atop him for much of the video, but also goes off on his own. It has all the charm, whimsy and wonder you expect from Team Ico.
The Agent
They then announced The Agent from Rockstar North, another PS3 exclusive. It's an espionage title set in the 70s , so lots of Cold War hijinks. Nothing was shown of the game, though.
Gran Turismo 5
A video of Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3 was shown. Just video, but you could see World Rally Championship and I think NASCAR logos in the game. No date was given.
God of War III
Finally the show ended with a God of War III demo. It was simply put: brutal. Kratos grabbing harpies and forcing them to carry him. Ripping the horn of a chimera and stabbing it in the head with it. Just tons of enemies and ultimate brutality; a great demo. Announced as coming in March 2010.

A very interesting concept Google's working on. Below is a demo, its long, but believe me, its worth watching. This may change the way many of us communicates over the net. Some of the things is awesome stuff like, real time "document" editing, where many people can edit the same document or sourcecode of a project at the same time, real time translating of IM and the list goes on.. Just watch it!
